Learning Unit 1: Customer feedback, trends in customer behaviour and traffic generators

  • Understand the significance of customer feedback including customer behaviour trends and traffic generators that affects sales target management.

Learning Unit 2: Sales strategies and tactics

  • Interpret key elements and features of a sales plan and the various types of sales initiatives, such as promotional campaigns.

Learning Unit 3: Setting store sales target, communicating and motivating team members

  • Communicate, drive and motivate team members to achieve the established sales targets.

Learning Unit 4: Assessing internal factors and techniques for increasing sales

  • Assess internal factors influencing sales outcomes and implement techniques for increasing sales to new and existing customers in the retail environment.

Learning Unit 5: Evaluating business environment, competitor and economic activities

  • Review the business environment, including competitor and economic activities and raise potential changes in store sales targets.

Learning Unit 6: Monitoring sales target and providing recommendations for improvement

  • Monitor sales targets to improve staff productivity and make recommendations to support sales targets that are aligned to organisational objectives.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Literacy Level 5.
