Roger Lee is an experienced workplace safety, health, and training specialist with an extensive career spanning over two decades in the food and beverage, hospitality, and transport sectors. His expertise lies in workplace safety and health (WSH) management, food hygiene, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, underpinned by a strong track record in designing and delivering WSQ-accredited and industry-specific training programmes.
He currently serves as Head of WSH and Learning at The Wok People Pte Ltd, where he manages all organisational safety, health, and training functions. In this capacity, he liaises with government agencies such as the Singapore Food Agency, National Environment Agency, Ministry of Manpower, and SkillsFuture Singapore to ensure strict compliance with industry regulations. He has successfully developed company-wide WSH policies, overseen ISO 45000 and ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and led internal and external audits. In addition, he conducts Food Safety Course Level 1 training and assessments, ensuring operational excellence and staff competency across the organisation.
Roger’s career includes leadership roles as Training Manager at HDT Singapore Holdings Pte Ltd, where he developed soft skills programmes for professional drivers, and as Senior Manager of WSH at The Wok People Pte Ltd, where he spearheaded in-house WSH curriculum development and risk assessment strategies for multiple cafeterias. His earlier roles as EHS Manager at ISS Catering Pte Ltd and Safety & Hygiene Manager at Woko F&B Pte Ltd saw him successfully achieve HACCP certification, OHSAS compliance, and BizSafe Level 1–5 certification for his organisations.
Academically and professionally qualified, Roger holds an Environmental Control Coordinator Certificate, a WSQ Professional Diploma in Leadership and People Management, an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), and an Advanced Diploma in Mass Communications. His technical credentials include certifications in HACCP (Intermediate), OHSAS Internal Auditing, Risk Management, Advanced Food Hygiene, and the WSQ Conduct Food & Beverage Audit.
