Learning Unit 1: Introduction to Carbon Footprint Standards and Environmental Management
- Identify the purpose and principles of ISO:14001, ISO:14064, and related carbon management standards.
- Analyse how Environmental Management Systems (EMS) support organisational carbon footprint reduction.
Learning Unit 2: Carbon Footprint Analysis Tools and Techniques
- Apply screening tools to identify carbon emission ‘hot spots’ within an organisation and develop targeted reduction plans.
- Design potential technologies and their impact on mitigating carbon footprint ‘hot spots.’
Learning Unit 3: Developing and Implementing Carbon Reduction Plans
- Implement practical and measurable plans to achieve targeted carbon reduction goals..
- Evaluate the costs and benefits of carbon footprint reduction initiatives to guide decision-making.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Possess minimally a ‘N’ Level and/or listen, speak, read, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5.
- Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3.
- Learners without the prerequisite will be allowed to be accepted in the course if they possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
